Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Man City coach Pep Guardiola share a stage to receive prestigious awards

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been inducted into the League Managers Association Hall of Fame.

The German, who led the Reds to Champions League glory in June, was honoured alongside Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola.

An awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday night, saw the Premier League title rivals added to the prestigious roll of honour in recognition of their achievements in football management.

England manager Gareth Southgate and former Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson presented the hand-crafted awards to the iconic duo, who shared the stage to pose with their accolades.

On receiving the silver salver, Klopp said: "This is really special, to be a part of this incredible group of managers is big.

"Tonight my family and coaches are here. I wanted them all to be here because it is very important in in our family history."

Meanwhile, Guardiola was also grateful for the recognition, he added: "It is an incredible honour to be a part of it, for the rest of my life and for generations, to be in this Hall of Fame in English football.

"I do not have any words to express my gratitude. To be part of this family."

Liverpool currently sit nine points clear of Guardiola's side at the top of the Premier League table.
