Liverpool based bookies offer the longest odds on a Liverpool title win

Liverpool based bookies thepools.com are offering 1/50 on Liverpool ending 30 years of hurt and being crowned Premier League champions this season.

And they are amongst the most generous odds you can get on the Reds!

After their latest remorseless victory - the 21st of their 22 matches so far this season - most bookies have rendered the Reds unbackable.

Paddy Power make Jurgen Klopp's juggernauts 1/1,000 to be crowned champions - with Manchester City 80/1 and Leicester 2,000/1.

That means you need to stake £1,000 to win £1!

Bet365 have the Reds at 1/66 and SkyBet 1/250.

While Manchester based Betfred actually paid out on a Liverpool title win on December 8!

The Merseyside based Pools are still offering slightly better value for their punters - you 'only' need to stake £50 to win £1!

The Pools became the first football betting outlet to be introduced in this country, when Sir John Moores sold entries to his "football pools" competition outside football grounds in 1923.

Now it is a modern betting website, offerings odds on every sport from American Football to volleyball and even the race to become Labour Party leader!

Of course, just because Liverpool are champions elect doesn't mean that there isn't value to be had in the Premier League title procession.

Liverpool are currently 7/2 to match the achievements of Preston North End (1888) and Arsenal's Invincibles (2003/4).

If Liverpool win all their remaining games, they will end the season on 112 points – a Premier League record, and if they keep winning they would claim the title on April 11th, with six games remaining – again something never achieved.

OddsMonkey spokesman Petter Watton said: "Liverpool have this title race wrapped up, but that doesn’t mean there is still some value out there for Punters, and the 100/1 to win every game from now until the end of the season looks generous.

"They are now just 7/2 to become Invincibles joining Preston and Arsenal in a very elite club."
