Liverpool bar with huge rooftop space opening in city centre

A Liverpool bar with a huge rooftop space is finally opening this week serving up breakfast, brunch and beer.

Tempest on Tithebarn is a new venture by Ma Boyle's owner Iain Hoskins and is set to have a soft opening from midday this Friday, May 28, after a £250,000 refurbishment of the building.

The new venue on Tithebarn Street, previously Hus and FOLK, is inspired by New York's meatpacking district eateries with brunches, lunches, cocktails and craft beer on offer set against stone walls and bare wood with lots of natural lighting feature in the ground floor open-plan restaurant and bar.

Customers can then enjoy an 'intimate subterranean club space' with one of the city's best rooftop views from 10 storeys high, which looks out across Liverpool with incredible views in all directions.

Iain said: "It's a pivotal moment for us being able to open, and for the whole city which has been booming over the last few weeks al fresco and now being able to serve inside too.

"We feel we have got something different to offer everyone across our breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, through to music and events including our jazz festival in the summer.

"This has been reflected in the bookings we have already got in the coming weeks and months. And as a place to come to for after-work drinks, a night out, to catch up with family and friends – we can do it all here, we cover the early risers to the late finishers and everyone in between."

For the opening weekend, Tempest on Tithebarn is launching its Bottomless Brunch service.

There is also an in-house bakery serving delicious freshly baked croissants, muffins, bread and other treats every morning and coffee and teas. The beehives on the roof will also be used, with honey cultivated for the kitchen and customers.

There will also be a wide range of music and events are being programmed in too, including a jazz festival across the weekend of Friday, July 30 to Sunday, August 1.
