Liverpool bar The Attic closing its doors after 10 years in the city
A popular Liverpool bar has announced it will be closing its doors after 10 years.
The Attic bar is one of the city's much-loved venues, located on Parr Street above the iconic recording studios.
The bar is a favourite among party-goers, and was once rated the top bar in Liverpool on TripAdvisor.
Tucked away on Parr Street in the city centre, The Attic is one of Liverpool's best hidden bars and even boasts a giant roof terrace.
The bar became a hot spot for music fans, with its iconic location, quirky decor, and live music acts.
The venue has now announced on social media it will be closing its doors at the end of September due to building developments.
Posting the news online, The Attic said: "Due to building developments, The Attic is coming to the end. The Attic has always been an independent and unique bar. It's individuality which was created through our guests and phenomenal Dj's gave The Attic it's unique homeliness.
"The Attic has hosted an array of Liverpool legends past and present, with music always at the core of it through the famous parr street studios below, allowing us to give a platform to many local artists and Dj's throughout the years.
"Friendships, relationships and brotherhood's have been formed in The Attic over the last 10 years. People have celebrated weddings, funerals, births and birthdays and it's been a pleasure to be able to serve and be a part of so many memories.
"Everyone who's been has a story about The Attic, and although the bar might be gone the memories remain."
Fans of the bar reacted in the comments stating they were "Absolutely devastated" by the news.
Many posted that they were "gutted" to hear about the closure, as they spoke of their memories at the venue.
The Attic said it plans to enjoy the remaining weeks while open, and has announced plans to mark the closure with one final party on Saturday, September 25.
