A much-loved Liverpool bar has been named Venue of the Year 2020 by the Downtown In Business Awards.
PINS Social Club , which opened in February this year, beat other businesses to take home the award.
The venue had barely opened its doors when the UK went into lockdown in March, but despite its unusual first year, its owners are looking forward to 2021 and say they are “happy and humbled” to receive the award.
Sharing the news on Instagram, PINS wrote: “VENUE OF THE YEAR 2020! We’re feeling incredibly happy and humbled to have won the Venue of the Year 2020 award last night.
“It wouldn’t have been possible without all of our amazing staff and fantastic guests. Thank you to all of you!”
Daniel Gillbanks and David Scowcroft, co-founders of PINS Social Club said: “We want to thank our team and their efforts in achieving this award.
“Like everyone in hospitality, they have withstood a series of openings and closings, as well as dealing with all the complications that have come as a result of launching in this crazy first year.
“We are delighted by the reception we’ve received and want to thank all of the amazing guests who’ve come and visited us so far.
“This award outlines the amazing hard work each individual in the team has made to help ride through some challenging times and still deliver the venue we’d hoped and dreamed for in PINS Social Club.

PINS Social Club is currently open from 4pm - 11pm Wednesday and Thursday, and 12pm - 11pm Friday - Sunday.
