Liverpool bar's brilliant response to bad review it got five months before it opened

A city centre bar has offered the perfect response to a bad review which was left before its team had even served one drink or meal.

Abditory bar opened in November last year and is based on one of the city's much-loved streets, Queen Avenue.

However, back in June 2019, the ECHO published an article letting people know about the opening and provided details of what its future customers could expect.

Despite, at the time, the bar's opening date was still months away it seems one reader decided to slam the bar calling it a "overpriced p**** hole"

Thankfully owners Steven Burgess and Josh Moore didn't take the review to heart and instead offered a brilliant response to the comment.

During a recent visit to Abditory we spotted its team have made a poster featuring the comment, which is proudly placed on its wall.

Abditory, is dog friendly and serves a range of wines, cocktails, beers and food such as toasties and sharing boards.

Its team describes the bar as a "neighbourhood gathering place" which includes outdoor seating too.

Later this year the Abditory team is opening up a sister site nearby on Castle Street. Bobo bar will be opening inside the former Veeno building.

Bobo will be an Iberian Wine Bar serving a range of tapas-style dishes.
