A city centre bar has closed its doors for the final time this week after less than a year in business.
Dramshop , on Gradwell Street off Hanover Street, is the latest local bar to close up shop.
The hidden gem opened in October 2018, serving a huge range of cocktails and tapas style dishes, along with burgers and sandwiches.

Taking to social media, Dramshop announced that it has officially closed its doors for good; the statement read: “Construction has defeated us tonight will be the last night for Dramshop on Gradwell Street.
“We’ve tried to keep it going and really enjoyed our time here but our daytime trade disappeared when the diggers turned up and we just can’t keep it up anymore.”
The bar had previously announced its closure earlier this year , citing building works as one of the issues, before revealing that its lease had been extended.

Owner Steven Mealor told the ECHO: “It’s sad to go, we tried to stick it out but we got lost behind the developments.
“We’re still around for pop-ups and private hire, and will hopefully return.”
Dramshop has become well known in Liverpool for its quirky, hidden gem-style quality, with TripAdvisor reviewers leaving comments such as: “amazing cocktails and platters”, “brilliant little gem”, and “a treasure trove”.
