Liverpool will not be back in Champions League action until almost November if UEFA plans are confirmed.
The governing body are preparing for an important week in which they are hoping to map out in greater detail a calendar for completing this season's European club competitions.
Ahead of their next scheduled executive committee meeting on Thursday, UEFA are expected to hold a video conference with national federations across Europe on Tuesday before holding talks with the European Club Association and domestic leagues the following day.
It emerged last week that UEFA were preparing to hold all the remaining rounds of the Champions League and Europa League in August, suggesting they expected domestic leagues to have concluded by the end of July.
Reports have subsequently claimed the Premier League have provisionally slated June 8 as a potential date to resume their campaign, with Liverpool needing only two wins from their final nine games to clinch at first title since 1990.
Now Sky Sport Italia have indicated they have received an outline of the planned fixture schedule from UEFA for the finals rounds of European competition in August, with two-legged ties played right through until the finals.
The Champions League final in Istanbul is suggested to take place on Saturday, August 29, with the Europa League final two days earlier in Gdansk.
It also indicates UEFA are planning on next season's Champions League group stage starting at a later date of Tuesday, October 20.
Liverpool are one of few clubs to have already qualified for next term's tournament, and will be in Pot 1 for the draw if they go on to claim the Premier League title.
