Netherland’s international Donyell Malen was linked with a transfer to Liverpool in the summer window but instead joined Borussia Dortmund before the Euros took place.
The £26million switch from PSV came after the former Arsenal prospect impressed in the Eredivisie with his goalscoring exploits.
But since making the move to Germany, Malen has only scored once in 17 appearances.
And Dortmund's director of football Michael Zorc has been left frustrated at Malen’s inability to adapt to the Bundesliga.
