Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd target Kai Havertz opens up on transfer rumours

Kai Havertz has insisted that he is happy to stay with Bayer Leverkusen for another season after he was linked with Bayern Munich during the transfer window.

Havertz, 20, is widely considered as one of the most talented players in European football after some impressive displays for the Bundesliga club.

Recent reports in Germany have suggested that Premier League clubs Arsenal , Chelsea , Manchester United , Man City and Liverpool are among eight teams interested in the midfielder.

Havertz also emerged as a target for Bayern Munich towards the end of the transfer window, with several reports in Germany suggesting that the German champions were keen to add the 20-year-old to their ranks.

He did not end up completing a transfer to Bayern, who were also heavily linked with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, but insisted that he was more than happy to remain with Peter Bosz's side for the time being.

"They haven't scared me off," Havertz told Sky in Germany (via Bulinews.com ).

"I don't know exactly what it was like with Timo [Werner], but it just didn't happen for me this year. I think there were a number of reasons why.

"But I'm happy to be here and stay in Leverkusen for another year. We'll see what will happen next summer."

Havertz has been with Leverkusen since the age of 11, and has become a key player following his first-team debut in 2016.

He can play on either wing, as well as behind the striker and has already earned three senior caps for the German national side.

After scoring 20 goals and providing seven assists last season, Havertz has started this campaign in similar vein, notching twice in four games.

As a result of his performances at the BayArena, Metro recently reported that his club have slapped a £91 million price tag on the midfielder.
