Liverpool are the stars of Monday Night Football but must catch up with Man United

Liverpool have played the most matches on a Monday in the Premier League era, but Manchester United have the most points.

The Reds have featured in 74 matches and gained a total of 123 points, whilst United have played 62 and won 144.

This means United have picked up an impressive 2.28 points per Monday game whilst Liverpool have only managed 1.66, lower than their league average of 1.77.

Arsenal have the second highest points accrued on Mondays, with an impressive 130 from 67 giving them a points per game average of 1.94.
