Liverpool are the Premier League kings when it comes to one specific stat

Liverpool are the sprint kings of the Premier League , according to statistics.

Jurgen Klopp’s players have accumulated a total of 3,794 dashes this season, which is 45 more than second-placed Bournemouth , who have 3,749 sprints.

The Reds also have two out of the top three individual sprinters in the Premier League in Mohammed Salah and Andy Robertson.

Egyptian winger Salah has hit top speed 547 times this season, which is the second-highest in the division, while Robertson lies just behind him in third place with 531 sprints.

However, the number one sprinter in England’s top-flight is Leicester and England full-back Ben Chilwell. The left-back has 609 sprints to his name.

While Liverpool have made the most sprints this season, Burnley have made the fewest dashes in the league, registering top speed on only 2,722 occasions.

The Clarets are, however, one of the top teams in the division when it comes to covering ground; only Bournemouth (3,539 km) and Newcastle (3,532 km) have covered more distance than Sean Dyche’s have (3,523 km) during this Premier League campaign.

Burnley midfielder Jack Cork has also covered more ground than any other player in the Premier League, as the Englishman has ran 360 km this season, seven kilometers more than second-placed Luka Milivojevic of Crystal Palace .
