Liverpool and Man Utd target Nicolas Pepe 'wants PSG transfer as Neymar replacement'

Liverpool and Manchester United transfer target Nicolas Pepe is reportedly ready to hold out and accept a move to Paris Saint-Germain if Neymar departs.

The Brazilian superstar appears to be trying to push through a move from the French capital leaving them in need of attacking reinforcements to support Kylian Mbappe.

According to Le10 Sport , versatile Lille forward Pepe is on their radar and would jump at the chance to accept an offer from PSG.

Pepe has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Manchester United reported to have tabled bids.

Arsenal were also interested in January, although their failure to qualify for the Champions League is understood to have left them out of the picture.

Pepe is a proven performer in Ligue 1, making him an attractive proposition for PSG, even if they do keep hold of Neymar.

He bagged 22 goals and registered 11 assists in the top flight last season, prompting his emergence as one of the most in-demand players in Europe.

Inter Milan are also said to be plotting a huge transfer bid, whilst Atletico Madrid are keen.

But PSG are believed to be his preferred option after their interest emerged, leaving Liverpool and United facing missing out on the dangerous attacker.

Pepe is currently in Egypt for the African Cup of Nations, preparing for his first game for the Ivory Coast against South Africa on Monday.

He is expected to line-up alongside Wilfried Zaha in a pacy attack as he looks to take the chance to impress on the international stage and increase his transfer stock further.
