Liverpool and Man Utd fight over 'unbelievable' wonderkid, Arsenal target reveals he wants move as Man City man to leave

This is the latest transfer gossip from the Premier League and beyond...

Ajax starlet told to sign for Liverpool or Man City - but agent thinks otherwise...

One of European football's brightest talents, Matthijs de Ligt, has been told to sign for Liverpool, Man City or Barcelona - by his own coach.

Ronald de Boer, the Dutch side's under-19s chief, said: "For me, a 19-year-old, captain of Ajax, he is the guy who is also next to Virgil Van Dijk with the national team, I mean he is so strong. So determined to be a winner. Unbelievable.

"For De Ligt it is up to him. He has to look at a team for him and find out what he wants. Does he want a team that has fun and most of the time on the ball, that's nice, or he goes to a team that gives it away.

"For me, Barcelona, Man City, Liverpool . Liverpool wants the ball, Paris Saint-Germain. Those are teams I would give him advice to go there. All the other teams, including Tottenham, are great teams to play for."

His agent, Mino Raiola, however, wants him to sign for Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

Man Utd transfer blow

United are desperately aiming to improve their defence ahead of next season but will not be signing Real Madrid star Raphael Varane.

That’s after Real boss Zinedine Zidane confirmed that the centre-back will be staying at the Bernabeu beyond the summer, with United having previously been interested in the 26-year-old.

“The positive point of this season finale is that Varane will stay,” Zidane said after defeat to Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

De Gea replacement identified

Man Utd are looking towards a future without goalkeeper David de Gea and have already found his replacement, according to reports.

The Spaniard has endured a horrific season in goal which was compounded by another error on Sunday as the Red Devils drew at home to Chelsea.

ESPN state that United are considering an approach for Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak.

De Gea is yet to commit his long-term future to United despite talks and is now being linked with a departure from Old Trafford.

Oblak, however, would break the bank somewhat, with his rumoured price tag believed to be around €120m.

Man City defender set to leave

Nicolas Otamendi is on the verge of departing Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

The defender will leave when his contract deal expires after enjoying four successful years with the club.

The Star state that West Ham and Wolves are both interested in the 31-year-old, who has only started 14 league matches for the Blues this term.

Rakitic’s transfer message amid United interest

Ivan Rakitic has insisted that he does not want to leave Barcelona this summer.

The Croatian midfielder has been linked with a move to Man Utd but says he is eager to stay up at the Camp Nou.

The 31-year-old said: “I don’t want to be anywhere else. I hope the club, the president, the coach and the fans see this the same way I do.

“I hope they tell me that I’ll stay here for another three years. I’d like to be able to point to the three more years on my contract and to say I’ll be here for three more years.

“Anything can happen in football, but I am very calm about it all.”

Liverpool target talks future

Liverpool are expected to make some moves in the summer transfer window to further enhance their squad but one of them will not be for Thorgan Hazard.

Eden Hazard’s brother is on the move this summer but he is not heading to the Premier League and Liverpool despite speculation.

Instead, the Borussia Monchengladbach star is staying put in the Bundesliga but will move to rivals Borussia Dortmund. The 26-year-old has confirmed that he has reached an agreement with the German giants.

“I have a personal agreement with Dortmund. It’s out of my hands. It’s up to the clubs now,” Hazard told VTM NIEUWS.

“I want to experience something new. It’s now up to the clubs to reach an agreement. That will take a bit of time. It’s always like that with negotiations.”

Arsenal's Fraser boost

Arsenal have been handed a boost in the transfer market as Bournemouth ace Ryan Fraser is ready to quit the club in order to seal a move to a top-six club and secure European football, reports from the Mirror state.

The Scotland international has just one year remaining on his current deal on the south coast and the Gunners are reportedly keen on his services due to the fact he can offer Premier League experience to Unai Emery’s side.
