Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp suffer another double injury concern ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Liverpool have two more injury worries ahead of the return to Premier League action next weekend.

The league leaders travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday, as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League. However, Reds' manager Jurgen Klopp has a few injury concerns to contend with.

Both Mo Salah and Andy Robertson face a race to get back to fitness after withdrawing from both the Egypt and Scotland international squads over the international break with ankle problems.

Now, in an extra blow to Klopp, two other players could be missing for the trip after withdrawing from the England squad.

Defender Joe Gomez and midfielder Jordan Henderson will return to Liverpool due to injury and illness, the FA have confirmed.

In a statement on the website, they confirmed that both will miss the final European qualifier vs Kosovo.

"Henderson arrived in camp with a viral infection that has not fully cleared," it read. "Meanwhile, his Liverpool team-mate Gomez sustained a knock to his knee in training on Friday and has not recovered sufficiently enough to travel.

"The pair now return to their club meaning the Three Lions will head to Pristina on Saturday with a 23-man squad."
