Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp get huge fitness boost ahead of Tottenham visit

Liverpool have been handed a timely boost ahead of upcoming games against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The only team with an 100 per cent record in the Premier League thus far return to action on Sunday when they face the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

Then following a Champions League tie against Genk in midweek, the Reds welcome Spurs to Anfield in the first game between the two teams since the European final at the beginning of June.

And there's good news on the fitness front for the hosts ahead of the game against the Lilywhites a week on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker is back in full training.

The Brazil international hasn't featured since the opening game of the season against Norwich City when he limped off in the first-half and ex-West Ham United stopper Adrian has deputised fairly well in his absence.

However, it's likely that the Spaniard could lose his place in between the sticks to the Reds no.1 for this weekend's big game at the 'Theatre of Dreams' thus allowing Alisson to prove his fitness ahead of their upcoming games.

Taking to social media, Alisson shared just how happy he is to be back in contention for the Premier League leaders.

"Happy to be back!!!" he posted on Instagram.

Spurs have two huge games of their own to focus on before turning attentions to the Liverpool clash.

Following back-to-back defeats against Bayern Munich and Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break, it's imperative Mauricio Pochettino side's form improves before the trip to Anfield.

On Saturday they welcome bottom of the table Watford to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before hosting Red Star in the Champions League three days later.
