Liverpool and Chelsea fans are saying the same thing about Man United after Aston Villa loss

Liverpool and Chelsea fans have been reacting online to Man United's late defeat at Old Trafford against Aston Villa.

The Red Devils went 1-0 down in the 88th minute courtesy of a brilliant header from Villa's Kortney Hause, before then being awarded a penalty moments later at the other end as Hause handled the ball from Edinson Cavani's glancing header.

Bruno Fernandes grabbed the ball ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo to take responsibility for the spot-kick, but the Portuguese playmaker sent his effort flying woefully over the bar.

Immediately after the full-time whistle was blown several supporters of Chelsea and Liverpool were quick to bask in United's misfortune.

@Marcus_LFC said: "United and Chelsea both losing tears man watch us lose 3-0", while @kofipagesGh tweeted "As a Chelsea fan I can still tease Man United."

@muftimaman said "Chelsea lost, United lost.. Great results so far, time to go top of the league #LFC #YNWA", while @sam_innes19 said, "Chelsea were awful today, but at least we're not Man United".

Chelsea were also on the wrong end of a result on Saturday, as the Blues were beaten 1-0 by Man City at Stamford Bridge, who won the contest after Gabriel Jesus fired past Edouard Mendy in the 53rd minute.

Liverpool meanwhile are playing in Saturday's late afternoon kick-off, facing off against newly promoted side Brentford at 5.30pm.

Should Jurgen Klopp's side win that match then they would go three points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with City, Chelsea and United now all sat on 13 points.

Chelsea's next Premier League game is against Southampton as Ralph Hasenhuttl's men visit Stamford Bridge next weekend.
