Liverpool and Arsenal on alert as Adama Traore's agent talks up summer transfer

Adama Traore's agent admits the player could be on the move this summer, but needs the financial landscape to level out.

The Wolves star was having a stellar campaign at Molineux as Nuno Espirito Santo's side eyed a Champions League spot.

Traore's mix of pace and power have attracted a host of top clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Spaniard has been unable to continue putting himself in the shop window due to the postponement of the Premier League.

The coronavirus has put pay to football indefinitely which is having huge financial affects.

One of those could be a huge reduction in summer spending for the majority of clubs.

And Traore's agent, Rodri Baster, is not naive to the difficulties of making transfers happen in the coming months.

He told EFE: “I can’t talk about contractual situations because it’s a private matter, but Adama was having a good season, and with his age, conditions and the fact he’s a very appealing player, there would have been a market for him, no doubt about it.

“We have to hope for the situation to normalise itself and hope that it won’t affect him this summer”.

Wolves are in a strong financial position themselves and have been able to retain all of their star players since winning promotion almost two years ago.

Traore has scored six times and made ten assists in his 43 appearances this term.

The 24-year-old cost Wolves £18m in 2018 but they are poised to make a hefty profit.

Real Madrid are another of the clubs linked the La Masia graduate.
