Live4You: Young talent awarded mentorship, opportunities in Chennai

CHENNAI: Over the last two years, live streaming platform 'Live4You' has been providing several opportunities to emerging artists to showcase their talent through its livestream broadcasts.

This year, Live4You launched the first season of Live4You Hall of Fame -an initiative to honour excellence in emerging artists globally- aimed at reviving the spirit of the arts in the post-pandemic world. The focus is on supporting young talent to create a strong impact in the world of classical music and arts.

Live4You Hall of Fame, which was launched on April 12, drew applications from across India and abroad this year. Close to 27 applicants for music and eight for dance, who were inducted into the Hall of Fame were mentored by senior musicians. The panel who evaluated the candidates comprises Neyveli Santhanagopalan, S.Sowmya, Nithyasree Mahadevan, Sikkil Gurucharan, Delhi Sunder Rajan and Neyveli Narayanan. Dance veterans on the panel include Roja Kannan, Srilatha Vinod and Rama Vaidyanathan.

On the evening of June 25, the inductees were presented with a trophy, cash awards and support for performances for a whole year by president of music academy, N. Murali, Ramnarayan Venkatraman, K.N. Shashikiran and Anita Guha, at the Krishna Gana Sabha.

A post event luncheon was held for the inductees on June 26.
