Brisbane again proved a happy hunting ground for the Wallabies as they held on 23-18 against the Springboks to snap a four-match losing streak.
Having been rolled by New Zealand twice in recent weeks, the Wallabies scored in the second minute to make a strong start before sealing the win through a 69th minute Matt Toomua penalty.
It was the Wallabies first win since defeating Ireland at Lang Park in June.
The win came despite the absence of key men David Pocock, Israel Folau and Adam Chapman.
More to come.
