'We're victims of our own success,' Deputy Chief Medical Officer says

Australia's Deputy Chief Medical Officer says "we're in a phase of change" in the coronavirus pandemic but the concept of herd immunity is not valid because we haven't had enough cases.

Earlier, Prime Minister Scott Morrison thanked the 2.8 million Australians who have already downloaded the COVIDSafe app, but said "millions and millions and millions more" needed to follow suit for it to be successful.
