Live: Voters head to the polls for Queensland election

Queenslanders have taken to polling booths across the state to cast their vote that will decide who forms government in the first ever four-year term of State Parliament.

Polls will remain open today until 6:00pm, although the Electoral Commission of Queensland has estimated more than half of the state's voters have lodged their ballot papers early.
