Trams across Nottingham return to normal after medical emergeny

Trams across Nottingham are running back to normal after being unable to serve certain stops because of a medical emergency.

Services were unable to run between Meadows Way West and University Boulevard because of an incident, affecting services to Hucknall and Toton Lane.

Nottingham Express Transit, which runs the trams, said trams heading towards Toton Lane would be terminated at Meadows Way West.

Trams leaving Toton Lane towards Hucknall were terminated at University Boulevard.

Nottingham City Transport, which runs the city's bus services, was accepting tram tickets on the orange line (34, 35 and 36).

Customers travelling southbound towards Toton Lane, and need to travel beyond Meadows Way West, were advised to alight at Old Market Square.

All orange buses go to the QMC.

Those who wanted to travel towards Toton Lane were able to continue the journey by tram from University Boulevard or Beeston Centre.

Those looking to travel northbound were advised to get on at Beeston in order to get the 36 bus towards the QMC and city centre.

The NG2 stop is not accessible by the orange buses.
