As it happened: Visa holders able to enter Australia from December

New COVID cases are still springing up across the territory with 11 new infections announced on Monday.

While social distancing measures have returned to baseline levels and vaccination rates are very high, there were 1624 COVID tests returned in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday.

One pathology clinic has lifted the lid on the strain associated with lockdown and the concerted push for consistently high testing numbers.

Capital Pathology went from administering about 300 tests a week to conducting almost 5000 in a single day during the first week of Canberra's lockdown.
