ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr and Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith today announced the next round of easing COVID-19 restrictions for Friday, bringing forward the next phase of reopening by two weeks.
From Friday, the rules will scrap limits on home visitors and outdoor gatherings, and ease density limits in most businesses. Mask wearing requirements will also be relaxed.
Ticketed events for up to 1000 people will be permitted, with the changes originally slated for November 26.
Meanwhile, three more Canberra campuses have been added to a growing list of school exposures.
Twelve schools have been affected by COVID-19 exposures in recent days, with Canberra Girls Grammar School, St Clare's College and Lanyon High School being added on Monday.
The territory recorded 18 new cases of the virus to 8pm Monday, with one person in hospital. The vaccination rate was unchanged at 95.1 per cent as new data was not available.
