A crash on the M62 is causing huge queues of traffic and long tailbacks this afternoon.
A collision is causing gridlocked traffic on the westbound carriageway between junction 27 at Batley and junction 26 at Brighouse.
This is likely to affect drivers heading from Leeds and although all lanes have not reoepned, traffic is not expected to clear until 4pm.
Traffic management system Inrix says: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M62 in both directions from J26 M606 J1 (Chain Bar) to J27 M621 (Gildersome). All lanes have been re-opened. Lanes one and two (of three) were closed in both directions."
