Two lanes on the M4 near Cardiff were blocked after an accident.
There was queueing traffic due to the crash on the M4 eastbound between junction 34 at Miskin and 33 at Cardiff West.
Cameras showed lane one and two of four are blocked, with standstill traffic.
All lanes have now re-opened.
Driving conditions and visibility are poor, with torrential rain having falling in south Wales this morning.
Rain is set to continue through most of the day and into the evening. Thunderstorms are forecast for Bridgend over lunchtime.
