The Kansas City Chiefs are practicing at Arrowhead Stadium today in front of 2,000 or so fans for what they consider a ‘dry run’ ahead of the season opener. They’re showing off the newest pieces of their team in front of the fans, but also the protocols and policies that will allow the team to have fans in attendance for the 2020 season.

Eric Fisher & Frank Clark return
Both Fisher and Clark were out of practice for the past several days. Clark had been dealing with a stomach virus and Fisher suffered a concussion during practice. Both have been cleared to return today, but it’s worth noting that this is not a padded practice.
The first-team offense
The Athletic’s Nate Taylor shared the first-team offense is as follows:

- RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
- TE Travis Kelce
- WR Sammy Watkins
- WR Demarcus Robinson
- WR Mecole Hardman
- LT Eric Fisher
- LG Kelechi Osemele
- C Austin Reiter

Tyreek Hill is still dealing with a hamstring injury.
Juan Thornhill works in team drills
Thornhill had been held out of team drills the past three days after coming off of the PUP list. He appears to be back working in team drills again during this non-padded practice.
Patrick Mahomes to Demarcus Robinson connection
Mahomes and Robinson continue to show that their chemistry is unrivaled. They had a big play in yesterday’s practice and that’s continuing today with a couple of long touchdowns during team drills against the second-team defense.

Starters who aren’t present today include Damien Wilson, who is absent from practice for unknown reasons, and Alex Okafor, who is dealing with a calf injury.

The team is taking a number of different health and safety precautions to make things safe for fans at Arrowhead Stadium. From the moment you enter the parking lot for tailgating to the time you spend in the stadium, you’ll notice the differences.
