Live tracker of how bad coronavirus is in every county in Ireland today with three counties surging

This live tracker shows how the 14-day coronavirus incidence rate has been changing in each county since the beginning of the month.

The interactive bar chart shows the data from the HPSC ranging from midnight on September 1 to midnight on Monday, September 7 - and updated daily.

Kildare had the highest rate coming into the month but as of Monday at midnight, Dublin is now on top of the list.

Dublin, 70.8, and Limerick, 66.2, have both been talked about as counties possibly facing restrictions, although Kildare's rate, 69.2, is just as high.

No other county in the whole country is currently over 50.0, with these three acting as the epicentres of the current wave.

Latest on potential lockdown restrictions

No recommendations have been made yet by NPHET regarding specific restrictions for Limerick and Dublin.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, the Government said that as things stand the restrictions will be staying the same.

This comes after both counties saw big leaps in confirmed cases over the last few days.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin confirmed next Tuesday is the date which the government will publish its overall framework and new plan on how to deal with Covid going forward.
