Live: Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals (there's still time to grab these rare savings)

Live updates: Our Black Friday Switch deals. .

We've been tracking Switch deals on Black Friday for several years now, and to be honest it can sometimes be a pretty soul-sucking experience at times. There are rarely any significant discounts on this ridiculously popular console. But with a new Switch on the horizon (probably) next year, we're seeing a very different picture this year.

But since the bar has already been set this low, we expect there will be more discounts to come from other major retailers. Below, we've set out the main retailers to hit up for Nintendo Switch deals, all of which have form in offering the biggest discounts – and most are already selling cheaper consoles, games and accessories already.

And we're off! This is Creative Bloq's live hub, dedicated to all the Nintendo Switch deals worth checking out – as and when they go live.

Right now, the best deals are at the top of this page... but I'll be updating this as regularly as I can.

Honesty Bomb: I've never used a Nintendo Switch. Haven't even seen one in real life. In fact, excluding a Christmas Wii session, the last Nintendo console I played on was my trusty Snes, back in the '90s... aaah, those were the days. I remember getting a plastic bazooka for it. Only used it for a duck-shooting game. Imagine. Shooting ducks with a bazooka. Those were different times... However I do have years of experience looking for the deals themselves, so you couldn't be in better hands with the price side of things.

And anyway... This Black Friday may change all that, as there are many people on the CB team that have a Switch, and think it's amazing. If I see a really great UK deal, I may just buy it. Long story short: rest assured, I will only be posting deals here that I myself would get.

Bazooka.

Let's presume that you've got your ideal Switch, at your ideal price... now what? Well, playing lots of games, obvs. But there's actually lots more to do with a Nintendo Switch.... and we've written an in-depth article all about it.

Check out the 12 Switch tips that you need to know

It's getting dark in the UK, but we are only just starting up this Switch blog – and we're in it for the long haul. Some of us are even staying in hotels tonight so we can be closer to our desks. True story.

Anyway, it's important to note that there are usually very measly discounts on Switch. However, with the rumour of a new console on the horizon, things are faring much, much better this year already. We'll be using our knowledge, as well as all the price history tools at our disposal to make sure we provide accurate information for you – so you don't get buyer's remorse.

When the blue Nintendo Switch Lite came out, people couldn't decide what colour it actually was. Is it really blue, or is it actually purple? If you want to decide for yourself, it's £10 off at Amazon in the UK, down to £189. Not a huge saving, but we're holding out for better deals to come.

If you're looking for the most wholesome Nintendo Switch console, it's got to be the special Animal Crossing edition, which features pastel blue and green Joy Cons. Right now at Amazon in the US, it's $20 off at $325.

A fan-made render of the rumoured Nintendo Switch 2 (Image credit: Computer Bild)

While we're waiting for more Nintendo Switch deals to drop, it's worth taking a look at all the Nintendo Switch 2 (or is that Nintendo Switch Pro? [or Super Nintendo Switch?]) rumours we've heard so far. With the elusive console allegedly finally arriving in 2024, we have a feeling more deals on the current models will be coming this Black Friday.

We haven't seen a ton of Switch deals yet, but we have seen one bundle that's already persuaded our resident non-gamer Natalie that it might be time to give it a try. Walmart is currently selling the OLED Switch along with the wildly popular Super Smash Bros Ultimate for $349.

That feeling of waiting for more Switch deals to drop…

Let's be honest: if you're getting a Switch, you're going to want Mario Kart. Because nothing's more fun than racing around Rainbow Road from the comfort of the sofa. Amazon is still offering the classic Switch with Mario Kart 8 for $295, down from $370.

Heya Switch fans 👋 It's Beth here taking over from Dan for the next few hours. I've only just started the night shift for Black Friday deals hunting and still have plenty of energy left in me (but we'll see how long that lasts).

If you're looking to bag a bargain on a Nintendo Switch console this Black Friday then you're definitely in the right place. But if you already own a Nintendo Switch and somehow made it here then don't worry – as we have some epic deals and discounts to report for current Switch owners too!

If you haven't already, take a look at these Black Friday switch game deals I picked out earlier with up to 75% off, and stay tuned for more amazing Nintendo Switch deals coming your way.

Disney Dreamlight Valley (Image credit: Nintendo / Amazon )

I've owned my Nintendo Switch for about five years now, and it's by far my favourite console to relax and unwind with. As a Pokemon fan, one of the top games that I play regularly is Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but lately, I've gotten addicted to Disney Dreamlight Valley which is essentially Animal Crossing but with Disney Characters.

If this has piqued your interest then you can get the Disney Dreamlight Valley Cozy edition which is on sale right now for just $34.99 at Amazon down from $49.99. I highly recommend it if you like laidback games for harvesting crops and fishing your troubles away. It also has Pixar characters too.

Speaking of Animal Crossing, I've just discovered this bundle on MyNintendo UK where you can get a Nintendo Switch Lite console for £206.99 (usually retails for £199) but with either a Tom Nook plush or an Isabelle one!!

These teddies could give Build-A-Bear a run for its money, they're so cute and would make an amazing Christmas gift for an Animal Crossing fan. Although saying that, they do look a little on the small side if the images are to scale with the size of a typical Switch Lite box, and the website doesn't offer any dimensions.

Either way, take a look for yourself but personally, I think this is one of the cutest Switch bundles I've seen for a while. I need the Isabelle.

I promised you some epic switch deals, and here's the best one! If you want a regular Nintendo Switch console then our favourite Black Friday bundle is back again this year. For just $299 at Amazon, you can get the Nintendo Switch Neon Red and Blue console with a digital download of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and a three-month subscription to Switch Online all in one package!

Side note: Amazon has started doing this irritating thing where you need to add the deal to your basket and sign in to actually see the price. At the time of writing this bundle is still $299 but I'll keep checking.

If you're dead set on buying a Nintendo Switch this Black Friday (great choice!) there are a few things you should probably know first. I've put together a handy guide of  the 7 things you should be aware of before you buy a Switch, especially if you're buying it as a festive gift for someone else.

To summarise: it won't stream Netflix, you REALLY need an SD card and Joy-Con drift is a pain in the a$$. You're welcome.

I often see people asking if they should choose a Nintendo Switch or a Switch Lite. Well, both consoles have their uses – if you don't want to connect to a TV and play as a group then the Lite is probably enough for you. But if you want the full experience I would always recommend the older sibling. If you've got children and can only get one, then the Switch will enable them to play together – which means less fighting.

Check out the Nintendo Switch vs Switch Lite post we've got on the site.

I have so many favourite games it's hard to reccommend just one. That's why I've put six together in my list of the Switch games I"m looking out for this Black Friday. And then there are three top picks of Switch game deals live now – with up to 75% off.

I think you should take a look. Now, preferably.

I've solved the mystery of why Amazon removed prices (it didn't take loads of detective work, just clicking on 'why' after the message telling me about it). Apparently it's because the price is lower than the lowest price manufacturers recommend a product sells for... so the rules say Amazon has to hide the price.

I had no idea.

Ready for another Black Friday flagship switch deal? This one is a bundle on the Nintendo Switch OLED model and it's $349.99 at Walmart for the console, plus Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, plus a 3-month subscription to Nintendo Online which offers online play and cloud saving.

In total, this deal will save you approximately $70, when you consider that the Nintendo Switch OLED usually retails for $349.99 on its own. So with Smash Bros thrown in (which costs $59.99 individually) and 3 months of Nintendo Online (which has a $12 value) this deal is a winner if you've been waiting to buy an OLED.

You might be wondering how to tell if a deal is actually a good one when shopping for a Nintendo Switch this Black Friday, and we can help you out. Let's talk prices.

Firstly, you should know that all Nintendo tech holds its value extremely well, which is why the original Nintendo Switch console (2017) has barely drifted from its original retail price of $299/£259 which has now lasted for six years!

The Nintendo Switch OLED model retails for $349.99/£309.99, and the Nintendo Switch Lite model also rarely gets a price cut from its original $199/£199 price tag.

This means that when you're looking for Black Friday Switch deals, anything below these prices is a win. You'll often find bundle deals at these retail prices, which means you're getting a game or accessory for free, which is still great.

Love Pokémon? Me too! Snorlax is my fave and I feel like some of you would appreciate my Nintendo Switch case because it's the best (see above). The temptation to play something is strong right now, but I won't.

Because I'm more dedicated to staying focused and finding you the very best Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals until 1 am here in the UK (over 2 hours to go) when I can finally shut my eyes.

Anyway, if you want to get your own Snorlax Switch case, it's $16.99 $13.59 on Amazon right now with a Black Friday discount.

Hi there, it's CB Editor Georgia Coggan here taking over for a while. It's super late here but we are fully committed to making sure we don't miss the start of Black Friday Proper in the UK. Though most retailers seem to have played their hands early, you never know what might happen as those hands tick over into midnight of Black Friday. Only an hour to go...

One way of getting a cheaper Switch is to buy a refurbished console. They are so much more than secondhand devices, they're always wiped clean and spruced up – and often come with a warranty, depending on where you get it from. This might be a full year, or a 90 day money back guarantee. It's worth investigating if this could be an option for you.

Best Buy has three options on sale right now, but it's not necessarily cheaper to get these during Black Friday (even the cheapest option here matches Black Friday offers we're seeing). However, you could always do it for the green credentials rather than cost.

I have the TV on whilst blogging (I know, how unprofessional) but it's lonely this late at night. Anyway, a Switch Black Friday offer just flashed up on the screen and it got me all excited for what's to come.

The best deal we've got is still the $296 at Walmart. That's for the white OLED version, in case you missed it. And it is a good deal. A very good one indeed.

Are you buying a Nintendo Switch for someone else this Black Friday? If you need some ideas on a stocking filler to go with it then take a look at our guide to festive gift ideas for creatives. We really rate the Lego Piranha Plant for anyone wanting a unique desk accessory, and there's options to suit every budget.

Hi, Beth again. The more I look for Switch deals, the more it's got me thinking about the rumoured new Switch console and what it could look like. What sort of features would it have? There's been speculation of a 4K Switch Pro console making its debut in 2024, that would have a slightly larger screen too.

I can picture it kind of looking like the Playstation Portal with the white controller design, but maybe with a display that can be raised, tilted, or flipped out of the device as some DSLR cameras have. Do you think it will have AI features? So many possibilities. I need answers. Or another coffee. ☕

We should take a moment to mention the official Nintendo Switch Black Friday sale, which is now live at the Nintendo Store online in several countries. Starting in the UK, where anyone sensible is now in bed, there's a bunch of bundle deals on the OLED model of the Switch.

Top of the pile is the Nintendo Switch OLED + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + Nintendo Switch Online 3-Month Membership for £309.99. That basically gets you the game and the three-month membership for free.

As we have mentioned already, a retailer called ShopTo is selling that same bundle for even less on ebay (£269.85). ShopTo has rather mixed reviews. Some gamers have complained of poor customer service, while others say it's fine. Nintendo, meanwhile, is Nintendo.

Oh, and the Nintendo Store in the UK is offering a 'Bonus Mario Holiday Ornament' with all purchases over £70. It seems that with Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch Lite bundles, you get an Animal Crossing soft toy instead.

Not a massive Switch deal, but this made me chuckle. Nintendo is so concerned about the potential for gamers to get dehydrated while working with its packing of the standard Switch with Nintendo Switch Sports that it's throwing in a free water for Black Friday. The package, including the Joy-Con strap is priced at £259.99

So what's happening at the Nintendo Store over in the US? Well, it has the same Nintendo Switch OLED bundle deal that we've seen elsewhere stateside: That gets you the console plus Super Smash Bros + 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online membership for $349.99, saving of over $67.98. So you can take your pick of retailers with this deal – BestBuy, Target, Walmart and GameStop are all running it.

This is the first time we've seen official Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals on the OLED console in the US.

  • Nintendo Switch OLED + Super Smash Bros + 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online membership $349.99 at Nintendo

Nintendo also has the classic Switch + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle, which we've seen during previous sales events. This one is also available at a whole bunch of retailer. Amazon seems to have sold out, but Nintendo, Walmart still have the deal.

  • Nintendo Switch + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + 3 months of Nintendo online: $299 at Nintendo

After the OLED bundle below, the deal that most surprises me in the Nintendo Switch Black Friday sale is the Switch Lite Animal Crossing bundle for $199 at Walmart. I've been tracking Switch deals during Black Friday and other sales events for three years now, and there are never Switch Lite deals in the US. Never...

OK, you might find $5 off an imported Lite with a UK plug. But this is gets you a Timmy & Tommy’s Aloha Special Edition Animal Crossing Switch Lite console plus a game download of Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the standard price of the console alone.

Nintendo is advertising this deal on its site, but it's only available at Walmart.

I'm clocking off for the night now, but I'll update the deals above before I go to leave you with links to all of the best Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals that are live so far.  We'll be back shortly, and indeed we'll be here right through the weekend to track prices.

To recap, the best deal on a console alone in the US so far is the Nintendo Switch OLED for $297.99 at Walmart.. There's also a good official OLED bundle deal with Super Smash Bros for $349 at Nintendo and Walmart. The Nintendo online store also has some big savings on games.

Until tomorrow, good night.

Good [downs an entire cup of coffee in one swig] morning everyone! This is Erlingur, your friendly neighbourhood tech reviews editor, clocking on for our Black Friday coverage of the most elusive beast of them all: a big Nintendo Switch deal. More rare than a Bigfoot sighting, and only slightly less rare than a big MacBook deal, spotting a Switch deal in the wild can conjure so much excitement and wonder that we don't know how to respond when it happens. All we can do is tell you about it and hope someone knows what to do with it.

Right, another coffee.

Right, my American friends. If you're here right now, then that means you're hunting for a Nintendo Switch Black Friday deal at around... 2-3am in the morning. And that's the perfect time, if there ever is, to buy a Mario-themed Switch controller on a 28% Black Friday discount. Instead of forking out $59.99, you can get this beautiful, retro-licious Switch controller for only $42.99. PowerA controllers are officially licensed by Nintendo too, so full compatibility is guaranteed here.

Sorry Erlingur, I'm taking the reins now. Hi everyone, Natalie here – Creative Bloq's resident Gen Z staff writer. I'll try my best not to make all my posts a huge wishlist of all the Switch games I want (let's see how long that lasts).

I'll also keep you folks in the loop if any new deals pop up. Let's get it.

If like me, you're tired of sharing custody of the Switch with your family, you're probably looking for that special Switch deal that convinces you to bag your own console.

If you need any extra convincing, check out our list of 7 things to consider before buying a Switch to get some expert insight from our Switch specialist, Beth. (Don't feel you need to consider too hard, I'm not judging.)

Does anyone remember the Nintendo DS? Lord do I miss mine. Well, there have been rumours that the next Switch console could be similar in design to its prehistoric cousin, featuring two stacked screens.

I'm a little on the fence since I prefer a more compact console, but it would be nice to relive my childhood a little – but I digress, let's not let our imaginations run too wild.

Before I start firing off all the games that I'm going to be getting this Black Friday, take a look at our definitive list of the best Nintendo Switch games for an arguably less Natalie-ified list of the must-play games. It's about to get very pro Animal Crossing in here so this is your final warning.

Folks I warned you, it's Animal Crossing time. For our lovely UK readers (good morning by the way) you can get this adorable Nintendo Switch Lite Animal Crossing Bundle for £189.99 at Argos.

It has an ultra-cute custom Animal Crossing leaf print on the back (and comes in coral and turquoise colour ways). The game comes pre-installed so all you have to do is get playing. I have admittedly lost an unspeakable number of hours to this game, but I highly recommend it.

Okay, allow me one more Animal Crossing-related item and then I'll have it out of my system. If you want the perfect carry case, look no further than the Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aloha Edition Carry Case which is available for £19.99 at the Nintendo Store.

If you haven't already, it's worth taking a peek at the Nintendo Store as it's currently got some good Black Friday Switch OLED bundle deals.

"Natalie!" I hear you call... "what are the best Black Friday Switch deals right now?" We've covered quite a few over the last few days, but in my opinion, the best deals are found in the bundles.

If I were going to buy myself an impulsive Black Friday Switch deal, I'd be going straight for the Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Kart bundle, currently £269.85 at ShopTO via eBay. Not only do you get the latest Switch model – but also Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (need I say more people?) They've also thrown in a cheeky 3-month membership for Nintendo Switch Online. That's Black Friday at its finest folks.

Okay, enough of the sales stuff for a second – let me tell you about my favourite upcoming Switch game.

First on my ever-expanding 'to play' list is this adorable Moomin game, developed by Hyper Games. Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is the perfect storybook-style slice of escapism, perfect for those rainy days curled up on the sofa.

I regret to inform you that it doesn't have a release date yet, but if you're a Moomin fan it might just convince you to get a Switch just to experience the gorgeous visuals.

In slightly sad news, my communal Switch has been diagnosed with a terrible case of Joy-Con drift which causes the controls to occasionally go awol without my consent. Luckily, thanks to a humble (but welcome) 8% saving on a handsome pair of Pastel Purple and Green Joy-Con's, I can get a replacement pair – reduced from £59.99 to £54.95 at Amazon. I suppose you could too if you want to switch (sorry) up your style or get prepped for a group gaming session.

Here's a thought if you're after an easy (and slightly lazy) Christmas gift for that Nintendo fan in your life. There's currently a discount where you can get a Nintendo eShop Gift Card worth $50 for $45 at Walmart – $5 isn't the biggest saving, but to save you the hassle of thinking of a real gift, I'd say it's worth it. Alternatively, you can buy it for yourself – everyone deserves a little treat.

As I've already said I'm a big fan of the bundle deals, and my favourite one has to be the Switch OLED + Super Smash Bros. Ultimate + 3 months online membership for  $349 at Best Buy

With the latest Switch console and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you're already set to start gaming, and once you get tired of pummelling your friends at Smash, there's plenty of time to explore some of the classic games included with your Nintendo membership.

(Image credit: Nintendo / SEGA / Activision / Creative Bloq)

If you're not into my wholesome girlypop game suggestions (I won't be offended don't worry), we've compiled a collection of the best Nintendo Switch game deals. There are a few popular titles like Super Mario Odyssey and Mario + Rabbids that have hit record-low prices, so if you're after a good deal it's well worth a scan for savings up to 75% off.

Time to address the golden question – do I want a standard Switch or a Switch Lite? While I cannot make your mind up for you, I can direct you to this nifty little guide that breaks it down for you.

There are lots of things to consider like portability, battery life and most importantly price, so if you're still torn between the two consoles it's well worth taking a look at the comparisons to see what suits you the best.

So we know about the standard games like Mario Kart and Smash Bros. – but what about the weird games? You'll be delighted to know that I've curated a humble list of my favourite strange games, and amidst my espresso-induced mania, I will now present them to you.

1. PowerWash Simulator | $24.99 $19.99 at Amazon
2. Untitled Goose Game | $34.99 $26.43 at Amazon
3. We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie | $29.99 $19.99 at Best Buy

Let's talk accessories and extra goodies. If you want the Switch experience with a more traditional controller, may I present the Horipad Wireless Gaming Controller – pink Princess Peach addition (of course).

Compatible with the Original Switch and OLED model, it's perfect if you find those dinky Joy-Cons a little fiddly. It's currently available for $59.99 $49.99 at Best Buy, a delicious $10 saving courtesy of the Black Friday gods. Love those guys.

Okay, I know I said I was quitting the Animal Crossing content, but here's one more because I can't help myself. You can get yourself a classic Nintendo Switch with a custom design featuring Mr Tom Nook and the Nooklings for $325.85 at Amazon – better Switch deals may be out there, but do those consoles feature Mr Nook himself? Didn't think so. Fellow Animal Crossing addicts, this one's for you.

Okay, two more...sorry. UK fans I couldn't leave you out so here's arguably one of my favourite deals (solely because you get a bonus plushie). The Nintendo Switch Lite Animal Crossing Timmy & Tommy Aloha Edition is very similar to the Isobel edition, featuring the same cute leafy pattern but this time in turquoise.

BUT...that's not even the best bit. It comes with an ultra-adorable Tom Nook plush, which is almost enough to warrant an impulsive purchase from me, but I am a grown-up with self control (I promise). It's available for £206.99 on the Nintendo Store.

Let me get real for a second – I have a slight obsession with the game Pikmin. You'll be elated to know that it's available on Switch and you can buy the latest edition (Pikmin 4) now for $59.99 $54.94 at Amazon

I mean, look at those lil guys, why wouldn't you want to indulge in a little Pikmin-enduced brain disengagement? For those unfamiliar with the game, you guide your little plant creatures on an adventure, collecting bits and bobs to fix your spaceship. It's super cute and a little chaotic – arguably the best kind of game.

Okay, back to my job. The best Switch OLED prices are still looking like $349.99 $297.99 at Walmart for US folks and £309.99 £279.95 at Amazon for us UK citizens. I hope my ramblings have been enough to convince you to get one because the bottom line is that the Switch is super fun (and you deserve a little treat).

I'm going to love you and leave you for now but you'll be in safe hands. Bye for now folks :)

Beren here – Creative Bloq's deals editor.

I have, as you can imagine, been looking for deals. It's kind of my job. More specifically, I've been looking for Nintendo Switch deals... handy, as this live hub that we've got going here is entirely focussed on Nintendo Switch deals. Again, it's my job. And I'm damn good at it...

The best deal so far? I think its' the Nintendo Switch Lite Special Edition Animal Horizons bundle : $199 at Walmart

Got your Switch console already? Perhaps it's time to get you some Switch art?!

Yeah, I had no idea there was such as thing either. But thank god there is. Think about it – you've been playing your Switch all day. But now it's time to put your Switch down and engage with the real world... but there's no Switch there!

Well now with this fine, fine art there is! And the great thing is you can get multiple prints? Put them in your bedroom. Place them in the bathroom. Frame them and hand them up at the gates of your home.

Switch.

Hey guys, I'm back. Natalie here with more Switch deals/content and general funky bits. From what I gather, I haven't missed much. We're still looking out for the best deals, but Black Friday is somewhat of a cruel and mysterious mistress – who knows when the next deal will drop.

For a bundle with all the best extra bits, this Nintendo Switch Lite Blue bundle is your best bet. It comes with the popular Paper Mario Switch game, 128GB microSD card, a screen protector and some extra accessories. It's currently $289.99 at Walmart if you're after a solid one-stop-shop bundle deal.

Black Friday is all about spending money, so for a break from the delirious consumerism, take a look at our collection of the best free Nintendo Switch games. There's a surprising amount of genuinely good games to play, like Super Kirby Clash and Pokémon Quest – also Tertis 99. Not to flex but I'm actually pretty good at Tetris, don't quote me on that...just take my word.

Do you remember Wii Sports? This is her now. Let me introduce you to her cooler, trendier cousin, the Nintendo Switch Sports bundle. The kit is available for £259 at Amazon for you UK shoppers and features interactive games like tennis, bowling, football and volleyball. Now you'll never need to leave the house, you're welcome.

If you take your gaming seriously, you're probably going to want to invest in a headset for maximum immersion (and style points). The Razer Barracuda X wireless gaming headset works on a multitude of consoles as well as the switch and is even compatible with android and iOS. (Yes, this is me giving you full permission to get a pair just because they're so universal).

They're available for $69.99 at Amazon, 30% off the original price of $99.99 – they also come in pink, just in case you needed extra persuading.

For even more bonus bits all in one handy place, take a look at our collection of the best Nintendo Switch accessories. There's a host of extras that you might not have considered, like screen protectors and battery packs. Thank God that our editor Ian is thinking of the useful stuff, it gives me more time to recommend you more weird games and goodies.

Something that I've gently skirted around is the need for an SD card if you're planning to download lots of games. It's not very exciting, but popular releases like 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' take up to almost 14GB, so it's important to plan ahead if you're dreaming of an extensive games collection.

It's not the most glamorous bundle deal, but you can get a Nintendo Switch Lite and a SanDisk 128GB microSD card for $212.99 at Amazon, saving you $21.99 (and a whole lot of storage hassle). It's a bit difficult to make SanDisk MicroSD's cool, but this one is tiny and has a Mario mushroom on it – that's fun, right folks?

Today's internet travels have really opened my eyes to the range of controllers available for the Switch. There really seems to be something for everyone but I think this Kirby inspired controller is definitely one of my most heart-eye worthy finds (and it's an absolute steal).

With a tasty 50% off, the PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller is available on Amazon for $13.99 reduced from $27.99. It features everybody's favourite rotund little pink guy plastered on a bubblegum and blue ergonomic – paired with the price, what's not to love?

When I play Mario Kart, I tend to avoid one particular character like the plague – that stress inducing little guy called Toad. Before you Toad worshipers attack me (if you even exist) there's a good reason behind my dislike for him and I had to share the trauma with you.

An artist by the name of Alex Solis created a nightmarish illustration of Toad, imagining what he'd look like de-mushroomed and the results are suitably horrible. I'm sorry that you've had to experience it, but a problem shared is a problem halved.

And on that note, I bid you adieu for now.

Fancy saving four quid on a pink Switch Lite? Don't say we don't treat you.

The Switch 2 (or Switch Pro) is heavily rumoured to be arriving next year. Check out our roundup of every rumour we've heard so far.

One of the most tantalising Switch Pro rumours we've heard in recent months is that it could feature two screens, taking us right back to the DS days.

As it's such a wildly popular product, it's unsurprising (but still a tad disappointing) that we're not seeing any truly mind-blowing deals on the Nintendo Switch. Even £10 off is not to be scoffed at right now, which is what Amazon's currently offering on the  classic Nintendo Switch in neon red/blue.

We've given you a lot of Switch deals today, but are you prepared to actually own one? That might sound like a silly question, but there are plenty of things people don't know about the Nintendo Switch, and here are 7 important things I think you should be aware of and consider before you take the plunge and make a Nintendo Switch purchase this Black Friday. You'll thank me later.

Did you know that there are other kinds of Nintendo Switch docking stations? Some are as compact as a singular cable, and do the same job of connecting your console to the TV, but not all of them will charge your Switch at the same time. If you need a pocket-sized dock as a spare or to take over to a friend's house then see our guide to the best Nintendo Switch docks

Amazon is still selling the Nintendo Switch Sports bundle for £259, featuring interactive tennis, bowling, football and volleyball.

The Zelda-themed edition of the OLED Nintendo Switch is currently £297 at Amazon UK, down from £319. Not only does it feature awesome tribal patterns, but it also comes with one of the most highly-acclaimed games of all time, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Already got a Switch? We're seeing some great Black Friday deals on Nintendo Switch games right now, with even the mighty Super Mario Odyssey, a team favourite, discounted by a whopping 33% on Amazon.

£10 isn't an incredible saving by any means, but we'll take what we can get when it comes to the Nintendo Switch. Over at Amazon UK, you can currently bag the neon red/blue version of the classic Switch console for £249, down from, yep, £259.

While we wait for more deals to drop, it's worth taking a look at all the Nintendo Switch Pro rumours we've heard so far. It's rumoured to arrive in 2024, and if it looks anything like the fan-made concept above, we'll be first in line.

Some of Nintendo's own Black Friday deals are a little disappointing in the UK. This bundle, which is specifically plugged as a Black Friday Switch deal, is billed a saving of £16.70. That in itself is hardly impressive. But when you look at what else is around, it doesn't add up either.

The deal includes the Nintendo Switch OLED, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, 3 months' membership and Super Mario Odyssey. But Very is selling the same bundle without the latter game for £299, and several retailers have deals on Super Mario Odyssey. In fact, Nintendo itself is selling Super Mario Odyssey for £33.29. That means that even at Nintendo it's cheaper to buy the OLED + Mario Kart + membership bundle and add SMO separately. Do your maths, Nintendo!

Here's a direct deal on the Switch OLED console alone. Asda's done it again after winning Black Friday for UK Switch fans with a similar deal last year: £30 off Nintendo Switch OLED.

Amazon actually had this same deal at the start of the day, but it sold out. And a deal that Asda was running on the original Switch console has also gone, so I suspect that this may not last long.

And I'll leave you with that. I'm taking a break from the blog for tonight, but we'll be back tomorrow to report on which deals are still live. At the time of clocking off, those linked above are all still available. Goodnight!

And we're back, for yet another day of bringing you the best Switch deals. As you can see from the deals above, there are still a good number of options... but do you know which Switch you want to get? The classic Switch, or the Switch Lite?

Well, we've put together our thoughts onto what we think about both (spoiler: they're both great, but the main difference is that the Switch can be played through both tabletop and TV mode, while the Lite will only play in hand-held mode.)

Just a note on this year's deals. Anyone who was searching for good deals on the Switch last year will tell you that, well, there just weren't any back then. At least this year there are some actual deals on consoles as well as bundles.

And the reason? Well, we think it's because there's rumour of the Switch 2 coming out next year, and retailers are eager to shift the stock now before public interest in the new generation swells. That doesn't mean these Switches are no good. They're great. But just wanted to give you some context as to why this year there are some actual deals!

Hey everyone, it's Natalie – back again to keep you in the loop with some funky Switch deals. It's been a little underwhelming this year for Switch bargains but I'll try my best to hunt out some goodies for you to snag. (If we all manifest hard enough the Nintendo overlords might deliver a cheeky flash sale – my fingers are crossed).

Happy Saturday, let's do this.

If the Nintendo Switch prices all seem a little steep (which they are, there's no denying that), it may be worth considering a refurbished model. You can check out our guide for what to look out for before buying refurbished tech, but often it's a solid and affordable option if you're a little deterred from splashing out on a brand-new console.

I'm still yet to find anything that beats this juicy Switch OLED deal. For $285.99 at Walmart, it doesn't get much better than that – especially for the latest snazzy model. Previously we've seen the Switch OLED dip to a low of $318.73, but this deal smashes that out of the park.

There's been lots of speculation about the design of the new Switch model, and so far it's all been rather mysterious. That hasn't stopped fans from cooking up their own concept art and this sleek design is potentially one of my favourites.

An Apple x Switch lovechild? Yes please!

Here's something that I've actually bought this Black Friday (if you're my sister, please look away). The Hori Split Pad Pro is a more ergonomic alternative to the Joy-Cons. It has more back button options and arguably, a more comfortable grip so those intense Animal Crossing sessions are about to get ultra comfy.

US folks can get the Split Pad Pro for $39.99 at Best Buy – a delectable steal since the controller rarely dips below $45. UK people, you can currently get the Pro for £39.99 at Game

Soooo...this might not be a 'deal' per se, but I couldn't leave it out because just look at it. This exclusive Pokémon Scarlet & Violet edition Switch OLED is lowkey (highkey) stunning and it's sold out at most retailers. It was only released earlier this month, so it's definitely been popular among Pokémon fans.

It's available at the Nintendo Store for £319.99 if you want to bag yourself a Switch with a little extra style.

On to some chaotic games, arguably my favourite topic. Everybody 1-2-Switch is the latest instalment of the well-loved multiplayer game released back in 2017. It's packed full of minigames which are hosted by a man with a cartoon horse head, known as MC Horace, and it's compatible with smartphones as well as Joy-Cons, so it's perfect for a holiday shindig with friends and family.

You can get the game for $9.99 at GameStop, a juicy reduction from the original price of $29.99.

With the holiday season approaching, I'm currently in a flurry of frantic present buying. We can spend ages searching for the perfect heartfelt gift but most of the time I'd say that a gift card is a safe bet if you're struggling for inspiration. You can currently get a Nintendo eShop gift card worth $50 for $45 at Walmart – a humble but welcome saving.

If you've already bagged yourself a Switch, you might want to take a look at the best Switch games available this Black Friday. Some retailers are being really generous this year, offering savings of up to 75% off standard prices. They might not stick around for much longer, so take a peek and see if anything catches your eye.

If you're a fan of the classics you can't really go wrong with this Switch OLED Mario Kart bundle for £299 at Very. It comes with a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online membership included, so strike off the £7.99 for that – plus the £40 odd for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and you've got yourself a pleasant little deal.

Animal Crossing fans, this Switch Lite Animal Crossing Horizons bundle is still a groovy $199 at Walmart, saving you $50. It's decked out in an adorable leafy pattern and it includes a free full download of the game so you can get stuck in straight away.

There are rumours floating around the interwebs that the Switch 2 could be coming next year (hence the slightly juicier deals this Black Friday). If you can cast your mind back to the early 2000s, the Nintendo DS was all the rage and there's some speculation that the new Switch could take some design cues from this ancient artefact, featuring a double screen.

Harry Potter fans, listen up. While I strongly refuse to refer to you as 'Potterheads', I lovingly dedicate this next game spotlight to you. Released this year, the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy brings the magical world to life in an immersive open-world experience.

It's available for £38.99 at 365Games, a nice little discount from the original price of $49.99. Hey, at least it's cheaper than a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.

I lost many hours of my childhood to Wii sports and now there's an opportunity to lose many hours of my adulthood to Nintendo sports. This Nintendo Switch Sports bundle is now £259 at Amazon, a good little all-in-one set that includes 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online membership.

For extra cool points, you can also get this slightly ridiculous Switch Sports accessories bundle for £19.99 at Argos, you're welcome.

I have to say that this Super Smash Bros. Switch OLED bundle is probably still my favourite deal. For $349 at Best Buy, you're basically just paying the standard price of an OLED model but with the bonus of added goodies. Who doesn't love extra goodies?

Just in case you're still on the fence, take a look at our guide on things to consider before buying a Switch. Once you've had a good ol' ponder, you can buy one guilt-free because you've done the research. I grant you permission, don't worry.

For any Adventure Time fans out there, this BMO Switch dock has to be my favourite Switch accessory by far. There's not even a particularly juicy deal on it, I just love him and felt an overwhelming compulsion to share with you.

The BMO charging stand is currently £29.14 at Amazon – a mighty 3% saving I'll have you know. Okay, it's not a big steal but if you're a chronic Adventure Time fan like me, it's definitely worth it.

(Image credit: Nintendo / Amazon / SanDisk)

Have you got an SD card for your Switch? If not then this Black Friday deal is one you should definitely consider. You can get a Legend of Zelda branded 1TB SanDisk microSDX card from Amazon right now for $99.99, down from $149.99 – that's a $50 saving!

We know this seems like a lot to pay for an SD card, and while you don't necessarily need the larger capacity 1TB card (as 128GB is usually plenty for most people), this deal is great if you know for certain that you'll need a lot of space on your Switch console or plan to purchase games that require a lot of console storage.

If you're not interested in the deal above but still need an SD card, then take a look at our guide to the best Nintendo Switch SD cards.

We have some sad news to report. It seems that the ultimate Black Friday 2023 Nintendo Switch OLED deal which saw the white edition of the console being sold for just $285.99 at Walmart has officially sold out

While this is undoubtedly gutting for anyone who was hoping to bag this deal, it goes to show the power of Black Friday and how popular this deal really was. If by some miracle it comes back, we'll be sure to let you know.

If you're in the market for a Nintendo Switch Lite then we've found a pretty good price cut on the Coral edition at Best Buy which is listed for just $188.99 (typically retailing for $199). This might not be the biggest discount we've seen on Lite consoles but a $10 saving is still something.

I've been searching all over the web and there aren't an awful lot of new Nintendo Switch deals to report right now, but I did find this fluffy shark case on Amazon for the Switch OLED which everyone needs to see. It's only $14.99 too if you want it (I definitely do!).

(Image credit: Nintendo / Amazon )

My favourite game to unwind with on the Switch right now is Disney Dreamlight Valley and it's currently on sale for $34.99 down from $49.99 on Amazon

The game is essentially Animal Crossing but with Disney characters, and you get to hang out with princesses, harvest crops to make recipes, go fishing with Goofy, and gradually bring new characters to your Valley including ones from Pixar! (Wall-E is my fave).

You can also get this game on Playstation and Xbox consoles too, and there are plans to introduce online features in a new update so you can visit your friend's valleys. Don't miss out on the hype.

We've talked about Switch consoles, plus the games, and we've talked about accessories – what else is there? Gift cards!

Walmart is offering some tempting discounts on Nintendo eShop Credit, which is the digital currency you can use to buy digital games and hardware from MyNintendo online or directly from the eShop on your Nintendo Switch console.

All Nintendo eShop gift cards are 10% off for Black Friday at Walmart, so if you're looking for one of the best festive gifts for creatives or a fun stocking filler then look no further. Get a $10 gift card for $9, a $50 gift card for $45, a $70 for $63 (you get the idea).

NOT SOLD OUT!

Hold on, hold on. We reported a while ago that the Nintendo Switch OLED deal at Walmart had sold out, but no: actually it's still there! The price has just ticked up a little.

It's no long quite as good a deal as it was, but it still smashed the previous record low price in the US by around $10. I'd get in quick if you were still hoping for a bargain on the best Switch console.

Nintendo's claiming this game + Joy-Cons bundle represents a $39.98 saving. The MRRP on a pair of Joy-Cons is $79.99, so you're getting the game download for $22.

For anyone still up in the UK, the best Black Friday Nintendo Switch OLED there is still live. That's £30 off the Nintendo Switch OLED at Asda. If you want to throw in a game, I'd go for the Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Kart bundle for £299 at Very

A decent-sized saving on a big Switch-branded microSDXC here, if you're looking to up your storage space for games. This 1TB card is reduced by 30% at Amazon. I don't think I'd ever buy one of the officially licensed Switch microSDXCs at full price because they cost more than a regular card, but this sale price is in line with what you can expect to pay for a standard but good 1TB card.
