Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte says restriction needed to avoid third wave, Germany prepares for another lockdown

Italy's Government will need to impose new restrictions during the holiday season to rein in contagion and avoid a third, devastating wave of the coronavirus, their Prime Minister says.

  • The 63 international students who are part of a pilot program are out of quarantine and now at Charles Darwin University
  • South Australia has zero active case, after an infection reported on Monday was clarified as a historical case
  • The South Australian CHO says there is not one "major" incident at Pepper Hotel which led to the Parafield cluster
  • Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said more restrictions are needed to prevent a third wave in the country
