National Cabinet endorses COVID-19 vaccine policy

The Federal Government has released its coronavirus vaccine strategy, revealing there will be a national system to monitor immunisation levels and individual vaccination status.

Here were the key moments on Friday:

  • Victoria recorded a 14th straight day of no new COVID-19 cases
  • NSW and Queensland also recorded no locally acquired cases
  • Nation Cabinet agreed on a COVID-19 vaccine strategy
  • Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt said Australia could have a vaccine by July, 2021.
  • Western Australia will relax its hard border at midnight
  • South Australia announced it will lift its border restrictions with Victoria on December 1
