Fresh from revealing his latest so-called “strategic business move” (AKA declaring himself bankrupt), 50 Cent has now announced a trio of UK arena dates. The two facts may not be totally unconnected (4-7 November, tour starts Glasgow SECC, ticketmaster.co.uk) … Depending on how you look at it, Belle And Sebastian have either spent the past two decades peddling an insufferably sentimental brand of twee or producing an endearing and wry tribute to outsiderdom. What’s for certain, though, is that, on their 1996 record If You’re Feeling Sinister, they produced one of the most perfect and idiosyncratic indie albums of their generation. Next June, the band will play it in full in celebration of its 20th anniversary, with debut Tigermilk (released the same year) getting a full airing the evening before (22 & 23 Jun, Royal Albert Hall, SW7, gigsandtours.com) … Via pure stealth – and, admittedly, some really great songs – Little Mix have seen off all competitors to become pretty much the only girlband of note in the entire universe. They’ll embark on a nationwide arena tour next year (13-31 Mar, tour starts Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff, gigsandtours.com).
