Thanks to their multitudinous collaborations, Rudimental are in some ways shorthand for a particular province of the British music scene: one home to a cast of characters that include Sheeran, Sandé, Ella Eyre and John Newman. Not perhaps the most thrilling company, but when Rudimental take the reins, it’s impossible to deny that things get slightly less boring. The band’s second album We The Generation brings some new names into their fold (Dizzee Rascal and Bobby Womack among them) and is released in September; they go on the UK leg of their debut world tour soon after (13-16 Oct, tour starts Corn Exchange, Edinburgh) …
