By the time her Rebel Heart tour rolls round in December, you’d hope the continued racket of Madonna’s indefatigable bandwagon-jumping will have drowned out the noise surrounding her fall at last month’s Brits - anything, at this point, being preferable to the sound of schadenfreude thinly disguised as cultural commentary (1-20 Dec, tour starts The O2, SE10) …

This week, arch indie band Franz Ferdinand announced they were teaming up with Sparks under the moniker FFS (which, depending on the precise level of supergroup self-indulgence, may well be what people will be muttering at their gigs). Having posted a teaser of a new track online, FFS announced two gigs: one at Glasgow’s Art School (16 Jun) and another at London’s Troxy (E1, 29 Jun) …

Meanwhile, Tunbridge Wells punk pair Slaves, will be bringing their unselfconscious ire to the Scala for an extra night (N1, 7 May) …

Finally, the lineup for this year’s Lovebox (17 & 18 Jun, Victoria Park, E3) has been announced, with Hot Chip, Mark Ronson and Jessie Ware among the highlights.
