Highways England closed the northbound carriageway of the M1 earlier following a multi-vehicle crash.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the incident, which happened between the slip roads at junction 29, near Chesterfield.
All lanes have now reopened, Highways England confirmed.
The incident comes after it was reported earlier this morning, Tuesday, February 1, of a broken down vehicle between junction 25, for Derby and Nottingham, and junction 26 for Nottingham.
