Vaccines minister Nadhim Zahawi will update the House of Commons today on the coronavirus situation in the UK.
He is due to speak at 12.30pm.
The minister has been doing media rounds this morning to discuss the UK vaccination programme.
Speaking this morning, Thursday, February 4, he told LBC that the Government would get to its target of 15 million vaccine jabs by February 15.
“We will get to 15 million," he said.
“I am very confident, we’ve got a great team, we’ve got the NHS, GPs, hospitals, vaccination centres, the army, the army of volunteers all working away and I’m confident we’ll hit the target for mid-February.”
He also appeared today on Good Morning Britain to discuss vaccine combination trials.
A UK trial has been launched to see if giving people different Covid vaccines for their first and second doses works as well as the current approach.
Such a move could help make the rollout more flexible and make it easier to deal with supply issues.
He said: "It won’t impact our deployment programme.
"If you had a Pfizer vaccine, you will get your second dose within twelve weeks of Pfizer, if you had Oxford Astra Zeneca, you will get your Oxford vaccine within twelve weeks.
"This is to look at how we can be even more efficient for the UK but also for the rest of the world because the one thing to remember is that we will not be safe...we still have to make sure the rest of the world is also vaccinated."
