Vie Hotel Bangkok will welcome Alexandre Couillon, chef-owner of France's two Michelin-starred La Marine restaurant, to its La Vie Creative French Cuisine from June 27-30.

Couillon and his wife run a humble seafood joint located in the small fishing village of L'Hermbaudiere, on family-holiday-friendly Noirmoutier Island in the Vendée coast of France.
His restaurant, which he opened in 1999, has achieved a worldwide reputation for the simple but ingenious ways he executes ingredients harvested daily from his garden and the local waters.
With his awe-inspiring creations, such as home-made seaweed sourdough bread and Erika oyster with squid ink marinade, he's been awarded the coveted Hope Trophee, recognising young chefs deemed to best represent the future of French gastronomy. His first Michelin star came in 2007, the second in 2013. In 2016, Couillon was named France's cook of the year.
During his visit to Vie Bangkok, he will present a series of multi-course lunches and dinners.
Featured dishes include crab, turnip, herbs and flowers; parsnip, blueberry, pear and egg; cod, cherry, fennel and almond milk; lobster, carrots, meadowsweet; challans duck, confit beet and rhubarb; and citrus and eucalyptus dessert.
A 4-course set lunch is priced at 3,500 baht net per person (or 5,000 baht net per person inclusive of beverage pairing).
A 7-course dinner costs 6,500 baht net per person (or 8,500 baht net per person with pairing wines).
