Live in the shadow of the Liver Birds with this jaw-dropping apartment

An immaculate city centre apartment offering sweeping views of Liverpool's world famous Three Graces is up for grabs.

The magnificent Tower Building on Water Street is a piece of the city's history and features ornate stonework and castellated turrets. The former office block sits at the junction with The Strand and was built in the 1840s.

The building was turned into homes in the mid-noughties and a rare opportunity to buy a two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment has become available. It is being marketed for sale by Purplebricks for offers in excess of £425,000.

The luxurious communal area is clad with mirrors and statement sofas, setting the tone for the high-end homes above.

Inside, the apartment features a large, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. The massive windows do the talking when it comes to interior styling and the current owners have kept décor plain and simple, with lots of natural light, neutral flooring and upholstery, splashes of rich blue and lots of house plants.

The views really are second to none, with the Liver Buildings and waterfront right in front of the home.

The apartment has two decent sized bedrooms. The main bedroom has its own en-suite, while the second bedroom has an en-suite and a dedicated dressing room.

The Tower Buildings stand on a historic Liverpool site. It is understood to have once accommodated a sandstone mansion, built in the 11th century on the banks of the River Mersey.

By the beginning of the 1400s it was owned by Sir John Stanley, who sought permission from the then King, Henry V, to construct a house he called the Tower of Liverpool. The structure was converted into a prison in the 1700s until 1811 and it was eventually demolished in 1819.

The Tower Buildings were designed by Sir James Picton and were converted to be used as apartments in 2006.
