Premier Daniel Andrews extends Victoria's state of emergency another four weeks

Premier Daniel Andrews says he has extended Victoria's state of emergency and state of disaster for another month, giving police continuing powers to enforce the Chief Health Officer's directions.

Meanwhile, Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt says he is "quietly becoming more hopeful and optimistic" about a COVID-19 vaccine being rolled out for Australians in the first half of 2021.
