Live from City Hall: Environment Committee

Could be a lively session following Boris's decision to suspend phase three of the LEZ. Committee members Tuffrey and Johnson were deeply displeased, committee member Cleverly had - as he tweeted - been "pushing for this since the Autumn". Today's business includes discussion of a proposal for an investigation into London's air quality (pdf). Perhaps some clues to the "other means" of improving this mentioned by the mayor will emerge. Heathrow is also on the agenda, with transport director Kulveer Ranger among those called to discuss the implications (pdf) of the government's decision to expand. Expect much more consensus there, though the Hayes rally rankles with some.
