The banking royal commission continued its final round of hearings today, with ASIC chairman James Shipton facing questions.
Mr Shipton mounted a defence of the corporate regulator's professionalism, which has come under fire at the commission, denying cosy ties with the big banks.
Earlier, outgoing Macquarie chief executive Nicholas Moore escaped a harsh interrogation, while Westpac boss Brian Hartzer was questioned about "fees for no service".
