Australia's interstate borders are starting to close in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Queensland is closing its borders to non-essential visitors, and Tasmania will turn back non-essential travellers arriving on the Spirit of Tasmania ferry.
The border shutdowns follow a sustained rise in coronavirus cases around the country.
In the ACT, the number of cases has increased by seven, to hit a total of 39.
Meanwhile the federal government has announced more ways to stem the worst economic fall-out of the pandemic.
Social Services Minister Anne Ruston in Canberra said the federal government would extend the coronavirus supplement payment to youth allowance students and apprentices.
Long queues formed outside Centrelink offices for a second day, and the government said it had increased the capacity of the MyGov website after it went into meltdown due to the unprecedented demand from those seeking to access assistance and services.
