The Australian Medical Association is calling for the immediate set up of a national register of healthcare workers infected by COVID-19 so the industry can collect data and close service gaps.
The Victorian Health Department says 388 healthcare workers have contracted coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, with 150 of those cases still active.
