Boris Johnson is holding a press conference from Downing Street this afternoon on the day when children across England went back to school.
The PM's roadmap out of lockdown for England kicked off today, which also saw a change in rules around socialising and in meeting people in care homes.
If the infection rate can be kept down there will be more changes at the end of the month.
SAGE experts say the rate will go up as children are at school, but suggest R will rise by just 0.2 per cent.
Deputy chief medical officer for England Dr Jenny Harries will join Mr Johnson at the press conference at 4pm, No 10 has said.
