As it happened: Canberra lockdown extended, 19 new Covid cases recorded

An additional 19 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the ACT on Monday, taking the outbreak to 28 active cases.

Canberra's lockdown will be extended by an additional two weeks as authorities work to stem the spread of the Delta strain.

Following an announcement from ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr on Monday, the capital is now set to lockdown until September 2.
