Australia's Nursing and Midwifery chief officer says senior nurses are heading to Victoria from South Australia to help deal with the almost 5,000 active COVID-19 cases in the state.
Meanwhile, two 19-year-old women are under criminal investigation in Queensland after returning to Brisbane from Melbourne and allegedly failing to self-isolate before testing positive to COVID-19. A known close contact was confirmed as Queensland's third case for the day.
