Live at Leeds fans left disappointed after headline set is cancelled

Music fans have been left bitterly disappointed after a Live at Leeds headline set was cancelled.

Metronomy were due to play at Leeds University Union at 10.30pm on Saturday, May 4 but the organisers say they 'are unable to perform' after the venue flooded overnight.

Every other band that was due to perform there will now play at Riley Smith Hall in Leeds University Union, but the electronic group's set has been cancelled.

In a statement, the organisers of the one-day festival said: "Unfortunately due to the limited production capacity of that venue (Riley Smith Hall) and time constraints, Metronomy are unable to perform.

"Live At Leeds are desperately disappointed and have worked tirelessly with the venue to make this as minimally disruptive to the day as possible."

Fans are less than impressed with the announcement and have taken to social media to vent their frustration.

Today's festival will see over a hundred acts play on 21 stages and you can follow all the action in our live blog.
