Victorian authorities warn that "at least a couple of hundred individuals" will require hospitalisation as active case numbers climb by 270 to 1,800.

Active case numbers in Victoria climbed by 270 and there are 81 patients in hospital with coronavirus, an increase of 13 since yesterday. Of those, 26 patients are in intensive care.
