Little Mix has been announced as this year’s hosts of the MTV Europe Music Awards.
It was revealed yesterday (20 October) that the band will be following in the footsteps of Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Borat by hitting the MTV EMA stage as hosts for the first time.
The girl group will also be performing a new track titled “Sweet Melody” from their forthcoming studio album Confetti.
The stars nabbed four nominations this year for Best Pop, Best Group, Best UK and Ireland Act, as well as a nod in the new category, Best Virtual Live for “UNCancelled”.
Lady Gaga leads the pack with seven nominations, while Korean boy band BTS and Justin Bieber both hold five.

Elsewhere, Yungblud is vying with DaBaby, Roddy Ricch and Doja Cat in the Best New category.
The Best Alternative category sees The 1975, Hayley Williams, FKA Twigs and Machine Gun Kelly up against one another, while Tame Impala, Liam Gallagher and The Killers are competing in Best Rock.
Due to the pandemic, the ceremony – due to take place on 8 November – will feature filmed performances instead of the usual arena-based show.
Doja Cat, Sam Smith, Maluma, Zara Larsson and Yungblud are all confirmed to perform.
The MTV EMAs show will air globally on Sunday 8 November, 2020.
